Your Personal Financial Autopilot: As a trading robot, it works for you

If you remove all the technical tinsel, a trading robot (adviser, bot, automated trading system — PBX) is a computer program that analyzes market data according to a predefined algorithm and performs trading operations (buying and selling) without your direct participation.

What does any robot consist of?

1. Brain (Trading Strategy). This is the heart and soul of a robot. A strategy is a set of rules that you give him. For example: «If the price of asset A crosses the moving average with a period of 50 from the bottom up and the RSI index is below the level of 30, buy 1 lot.» All these rules are formalized and written in a special language (most often MQL4/MQL5 for MetaTrader).

2. Eyes and ears (Data). The robot constantly receives a stream of real-time market data from the Internet: prices, trading volumes, economic news (if it can read them), and data from exchanges.

3. Hands (Execution of transactions). After analyzing the data and finding a situation that corresponds to the rules of the strategy, the robot sends an order to the broker through a trading platform (for example, MetaTrader, Quik) to open or close a deal.
